What types of services do allied health staff provide?
An allied health worker will first carry out an ‘in home assessment’ to determine what can be done to improve your independence and safety. This might include things like access to:
A falls prevention program
An LSVT accredited speech pathologists to support people living with Parkinson's disease (*)
A therapists accredited to run the PD Warrior program for people living with Parkinson's disease (*)
A dietician who can review nutrition and develop programs to improve nutritional health
Complex home modification assessments

Do I have to pay for allied health services?
If you are a veteran you can contact your doctor for a referral, the Department of Veterans’ Affairs will fund access to allied health services for eligible card holders.
Many private health funds cover allied health services. You can contact your fund to find out if you are covered in this way.
If you have a disability and have allied health services included in your plan the NDIS will fund these services.
If you have a government funded Home Care Package we can work with your service provider to set up a service agreement for our allied health service to be delivered as part of the package funding.
Alternatively you can elect to pay privately, we can arrange a quote for you at any time.

How do I know your allied health staff are qualified?
All Healthe Community allied health staff are registered with AHPRA and are responsible for making sure that their work is based on best practice. Healthe Community fosters an environment of ongoing learning to ensure those in our care receive a high quality service.
